What you need to know to be safe when using Christian Circle and also in real life.

• Never give out personal information such as address, social security number or financial information.
• Do not give out your phone number until you feel comfortable.
• Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior immediately, such as:

– Requests for money

– Harassment or threats

– Harmful behavior during or after you meet in person

– Underage

– Receiving nudes or images with sexual content without your consent

• When setting up a date, always choose to spend time with your match in a safe, public place;
• Plan your transportation to and from a date;
• Tell someone you trust where you are when you are on a date;
• In case you feel uncomfortable, leave without hesitation.

#2 How to deal with harassment

Our wish is that the Christian Circle app is a safe place to meet people.  You know when someone has crossed the line, so you can always flag a user for:

– Sexual content

– Abusive content

– Violent content

– Inappropriate content

– Spam or Misleading

We don’t want any kind of harassment to happen on Christian Circle and will block people for the following reasons:

– Racial slurs or offensive language

– Sending threats or offensive messages to anyone in or out of the app

– Harassing matches on and off the app

– Sending sexually explicit content within the app and outside the app, if sent without the recipient’s consent

– Sending spam, invitations to commercial websites, or attempts to sell products or services.

#3 Safe Dating Tips

We want you to do everything you can to keep yourself safe in real life. If something happens outside Christian Circle, remember that you can always block users and prevent them from contacting you on the messaging services you are using. You can also report any user inside Christian Circle.

No one should be put in a dangerous situation when going on a date or accepting a ride, but there are some people who have bad intentions.  So here are some tips that will help you be safer in real life:

• Don’t be in a hurry to leave the app or share your personal information: Only give out your number when you feel comfortable. Don’t tell your home address or give details about your routine when you’re talking to someone.
• When you make a date, keep people informed: tell your plans to friends, family and people you trust so they know where you are.
• Stay in control: plan how you will get to the meeting and how you will get back.  Avoid hitchhiking, even if someone offers to pick you up.
• Always choose (and stay) in public places when meeting someone you don’t know well.
• If you use alcohol or any other substance, know that it can affect you, and unfortunately, there are people who take advantage of the situation.
• Keep your belongings close to you like your purse, phone, keys, wallet, etc. Keep everything with you.
• Always communicate your boundaries clearly and respect the other person’s boundaries for any intimate activity. You have a responsibility to respect the person you are dating and they have a responsibility to respect your boundaries.If you are not sure about what the person is willing to do, don’t do it, ask.
